My Story


My name is Mike and I want to welcome you to my tiny corner of the internet!

This website is a reflection of my self experimentation in life.

For the past 20 years or so, I've been interested in human development and I have taken it upon myself to learn all that I can about just how far we can go in life.

One of the foundational principles that I have come across is the importance of optimal performance.

You can only optimize yourself based on the quality of the things you allow into your body, your mind and your life.

I've realized that most people settle for what is easy and sacrifice quality for convenience.  One of the biggest realizations is just how much they sacrifice in the long term for some satisfaction in the very short term.

Things add up.

I found this out first hand after years of partying, poor dietary habits, not enough movement, and toxic relationships.  Because of poor lifestyle choices, I found myself almost 100 pounds overweight, with no energy, and severe mood swings.

I was active in high school.  I played both basketball and soccer and I was always in good shape.  So what happened?

When I went out on my own and I was finally able to do what I wanted when I wanted, I did the easy things.  I ate food out of boxes and bags without any real concern for nutritional value or calorie content.  As I approached my mid-20's the weight started catching up to me.
